Originally chartered as the Washington FFA Chapter, this program is one of the original first twelve Chapters of the Kansas FFA Association that were chartered simultaneously on August 27, 1929 and all were designated as Charter 1-12.
The Washington High School consolidation in 2006 with North Central High School prompted the chapter to vote to change the name of this organization to the Washington County FFA Chapter on July 1, 2006. This constitution is forged from the rich traditions of the past FFA members and Chapter Charters that combine to make the Washington County FFA Chapter.

Note: The National FFA President that signed this Charter is Leslie Applegate, the first President of the Future Farmer's of America! Additionally, the signature of the first President of the Kansas FFA Association, Boyd Waite and the name of second President of the Kansas FFA Association, Lewis Evans is the sixth name listed on the left column of the membership roster. Also, the original emblem on the constitution appears at the top left side without an eagle on top of the cross section of the corn.
